The Legacy is a cooperative horror survival game where you and your siblings return to a cursed hometown to confront the darkness your family once fled. In 1990, a terrible curse fell upon your home. According to an ancient and sinister tradition, your grandfather — a local molfar and practitioner of folk magic — was meant to sacrifice one of his descendants to appease the dark forest spirits. But he refused. Instead, he sent you, your two brothers, and your sister away to Kyiv, saving your lives at the cost of cursing the land you left behind. Now, as adults haunted by the memory of Svetlograd, you’ve made the choice to return and face the evil that was never vanquished.
Armed with only your wits, equipment, and the unique strengths each sibling brings, you’ve come back to end the curse and restore the city once and for all.Set in the unforgiving autumn wilderness of the Carpathian Mountains, The Legacy features a deep survival system where your character needs food, water, shelter, and warmth. Cold nights, dwindling stamina, and limited supplies make every decision critical. Your stamina depends on your character and how much you’re carrying, and simple actions like staying warm or keeping hunger at bay can determine your fate. Hunt wild animals, catch fish, forage for apples and mushrooms, and cook your meals using fires, ovens, or cauldrons. When there’s no store in sight, survival depends on resourcefulness.
But Svetlograd is no ordinary place. The nearby villages are steeped in myth and folklore, filled with tales of dark entities, ancient rituals, and supernatural forces. In The Legacy, you’ll uncover magical recipes, gather herbs and mystical ingredients, and learn forgotten rituals to fight back against the darkness. Whether using firearms and tools or embracing the old ways through spells and potions, you’ll need to choose how you confront the evil that waits in the shadows. With procedurally driven challenges, immersive storytelling, and a haunting world shaped by Slavic mythology, The Legacy offers a chilling journey into survival, folklore, and the unbreakable bond of family.
How To Install
- Use the links provided below to access the download page.
- From here, choose your preferred platform and select ‘Download Here’ to begin.
- Once the transfer is complete, right click on the .zip (or .rar & .iso) file and select ‘Extract to The Legacy’. To extract files use 7-Zip, which you can get from software.
- Open the extracted folder and run the application to start the game.
- Enjoy! Don’t forget to run the game as administrator as it helps prevents crashes and errors. Remember to support the developers if you enjoy the game.
