The Long Dark is a thoughtful, exploration-survival experience that challenges solo players to think for themselves as they explore an expansive frozen wilderness in the aftermath of a geomagnetic disaster. There are no zombies — only you, the cold, and all the threats Mother Nature can muster.

- From here, choose your preferred platform and select ‘Download Here’ to begin.
- Once The Long Dark is finished, right click on the .zip (or .rar & .iso) file and select ‘Extract to The Long Dark’. To extract files use 7-Zip, which you can get from software.
- Open the The Long Dark folder and run the application to start the game.
- Enjoy! Don’t forget to run the game as administrator as it helps prevents crashes and errors. Remember to support the developers if you enjoy the game.
